A good friend asked me to interview Diezel from GSM. I was more than happy to oblige him. Diezel is a rapper from Detroit. He has an interesting bio. Being an entertainer has always been in the cards for Kaamel “Diezel tha Hitman” Mathis. Diezel was born in Detroit, MI to a mother who was a professional jazz & blues singer, and a father who was a DJ. He looked up to artists such as Trick-Trick, NWA, Jay Z, Nas and Snoop Dogg, who all highly motivated him to develop his skills to quickly secure a spot in the entertainment industry. Diezel’s first experiences with music came when he became Captain of the hip- hop group Goon Sqwad- a group whose music is known to give off a rugged and street vibe. After sharpening his skills with the group, Diezel began to take stages across the country alongside many that include his older brother Trick-Trick, Ice Cube, WC, and D12. But performing on stage as a rapper is not where Diezel’s journey ends. Diezel has assumed the role of actor, securing spots in stage plays such as “A House Divided”, “Last Chance” and “It’s My Life”- as well as roles in the movie “Hostel 3” and TV movie “Last Man Standing”. He has also had his hand in writing, with credits on Trick-Trick’s albums “The People vs.” and “The Villain” released under Universal Motown and Koch records. Along with wrapping up his first solo project “25-8-366” which is a mixtape set to hit the streets by December 2012, Diezel is also working on multiple film projects and is in the process of writing his own stage play. He has also been very vocal in displaying his love for his hometown of Detroit and is working to display the importance of unity amongst entertainers in the city. Diezel is quickly making his voice heard among many in the hip-hop community and beyond, and has no plans of fading to the background until his influence is felt by all The show was crazy and a lot of fun. Diezel rode the hell out of the choclate wave. He will be in Fayetteville, North Carolina for the summer jam June 14-16, 2013.Make sure you follow him on twitter @DIEZELGSM And I love the fact that he answered my questions truthfully. Yall gotta listen to the interview and hear all the wild shit we talked about and some of the questions I asked him. Listen to internet radio with chocmami on Blog Talk Radio

So I had to make the best of the situation so I didn’t lose the moment. I first came across Hungry HD from M3pa Services on Twitter. He was pushing his single Maple Fudge. The song reminded of old school hip-hop from back in the day. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not dissing the new generation of music but I grew up with legends like Rakim, KRS-1, LL Cool J, RUN DMC, just to name a few. So when I heard the song I was hooked. Then I had to learn more about this artist aside from him being lyrically blessed. I went to his website www. HUNGRYHD.COM. I went on the site and instantly became noisy as fuck. I learned about this artist thru his own words. I was really touched with a personal issue that this Harlem rapper had dealt with and overcame it like a trooper. I had a new outlook on him and his career. I knew I had to have him ride da choclate wave. The show was very good once I worked out the bull shit with the time slot. He answered the listener’s questions and interacted a lot with my crazy ass. I have a way of getting artist to come out of their comfort zone and let their hair down. The listeners love it when the artist opens up about his personal and bedroom life. And I’m the right chick to bring it out. He has a mixtape called “No Thanks 2 You” on datpiff.com. It has over 25k downloads and has gone bronze status on the site. His video “Maple Fudge” has over 50k views on YouTube. It’s clear to see that this artist in on his way to great start for 2013. Hit him up on his social media sites. Twitter: twitter.com/Hungry_HD Facebook: facebook.com/HungryHD Youtube: youtube.com/TrademarkMusicTV I have also included his mixtape and video so you guys can check him out. When you hit him up on Twitter, tell him the Choc sent you. Listen to internet radio with chocmami on Blog Talk Radio |
